About

Accounting experience shaped by how businesses actually operate

Stonehill Accounting LLC was founded to support businesses and fiduciaries whose accounting had grown past what routine bookkeeping can handle — multiple entities, project-based work, inventory, or years of records that were never properly organized.

Backgroung

After leaving the US Army in 2021, I moved into accounting and operations roles where the financial records and the day-to-day business were rarely as connected as they should have been. That experience — working as both an accountant and a project manager in construction and manufacturing environments — shapes how Stonehill approaches every engagement.

I began investing in real estate in 2021 and have been a landlord for five years, so multi-entity portfolios, property-level reporting, loan accounting and investor expectations are familiar from both sides of the table. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Nebraska–Omaha and have five years of accounting experience, much of it involving complicated, confidential financial information.

The common thread is problem solving: taking an accounting environment that has become unreliable, understanding why, and rebuilding it into something management can use with confidence.

Approach

How the work is done

Understand the operation first

Accounting decisions only make sense once you understand how the business earns and spends. Every engagement starts with the operation, not the ledger.

Fix the cause, not the symptom

A reconciliation that keeps breaking is a process problem. Cleanup work is paired with the workflow changes that keep the books accurate afterward.

Report what management needs

Financial statements should answer the questions management is actually asking — property by property, job by job, product by product.

Handle it discreetly

Ownership disputes, estates, and multi-entity finances involve sensitive information. Confidentiality is treated as part of the work.
